The model

The Intensive Intervention Programme is mainly offered during the weekends and school holidays throughout the year. This programme mainly focuses on mathematics, science and commerce.

The programme utilizes professionals, post-graduates and undergraduates students who are former learners of the schools that we operate in, we ensure that we channel tutors to the subjects that they excel and are expert at for instance an accounting tutor will be a tutor who is a graduate or undergraduate of B.Com Accounting / B. accounting Science to ensure the learners are provided with the best academic support.

The tutors also mentor learners particularly those who want to follow in the same course of study as they have completed and or are pursuing further education in. This provide an opportunity to the learners to get to understand the stream / course of study they want to pursue to ensure that they can be able to take conscience and well thought decision.

The main aim of this model is in encouraging and promoting the culture of education and giving back amongst the learners. The human resource that is employed by the organization are employed with an understanding that their services are on voluntary basis and that they will not be salaried

The following is the format of delivering the Intensive Intervention Programme

  • Classroom format: Learners are provided with the tutorial in a classroom like format. For every 25 learners we have one tutor.
  • Group / one on one format: Learners are given special attention particularly with regard to their individual problems in the specific subject which they have problems with.

Centre of Academic Support

In the very near future this initiative will be known as the centre of academic support and the organization a starting point for academics support programmes. The goal of this initiative which is in line with the greater vision of the organization is to ensure that year in year out learners from disadvantage school get marks that will enable them to access funding to further their studies as well as marks that will provide them with an opportunity to pursue any course of study they wish to. In addition to this is to ensure that they are better equipped for university like their counterparts in well resourced schools.

Stakeholder involvement continue to be of paramount importance to ensure that the organization reach it’s set objectives and benefit as many learners as possible.

The Intensive Intervention Programme is not just an academic support structure but it is a source of hope to the learners which we currently serve and to the ones who we will touch their lives as the time continues to progress.

It goes without no doubt that this initiative provides a very dynamic and a versatile approach to academic support for learners, schools and the community at large.
